The moderator position entails, but is not limited to:
- Keeping a present and watchful eye on the following areas: the public Discord server; the website comments, blogs, profiles, reports, etc.; the comment sections on other supplementary sites (DeviantArt, Toyhou.se, Twitter, etc.)
- Handling confrontations in an unbiased and friendly manner.
- Fostering a positive community and helping to promote healthy discussion.
- Answering questions as they arise, and generally helping others when necessary.
- Sending out reminders and warnings to players as appropriate, using the templates provided.
Possible future tasks which may be included as we grow:
- Player support via email and social media.
✦ Requirements:
21 years of age or older.
Familiarity with Discord and availability via the program. (Voice not required.)
Strong fluency in written English.
The ability to stay level headed, respectful, and unbiased when handling moderation matters.
✦ Pluses:
Past experience in an online moderation position (on a forum, pet site, game, etc).
A basic understanding of HTML as well as Discord's markdown text.
✦ Compensation:
Being a moderator is currently considered a volunteer position, and does not include guaranteed USD payment.
We do, however, offer compensation in the following form:
Guest Artist rights. All moderators have the optional offer to become guest artists and release designs for USD sale as per an individual agreement (which may include monthly maximums, specific species limitations, and/or design mentoring/curation). 100% of the profits from designs go to the designer.
