Once a year, the Ringleader appears with her realm full of ghosts.
It is known as the Lost Realm...do you dare unlock it?
Once a year, a mysterious realm appears in the Lyth. No one knows when or how it came to be, only that it’s not normally accessible to Lythians; even those with a decent grasp on inter-realm teleportation can’t seem to get to it when it doesn’t want to be found.
However, when it is available, the Lost Realm is accessible to everyone, and isn’t actually as scary as its name makes it out to be! It’s only colloquially called that because of its inhabitants, who call themselves “eidolons.” They are like ghosts, but not in the same way that Igalyphs are. These are lost souls with no memory of a past life and no ability to teleport. In fact, it is uncertain if they are (or rather, were) Lythians at all.
Rumor has it that they may be from an entirely different universe...
One resident of the Lost Realm who is presumed to be a Lythian is the one known as the Ringleader. She appears to have been a Gryfon in her past life, given the helmet covering her face, the large forepaws, and pair of ethereal wings. However, much like an eidolon, she has no memory and cannot leave the realm. The Ringleader only remembers waking up to a voice whispering in her ear, telling her to collect lost souls and provide them a place to live, something she still dutifully performs to this day. Alongside this task, she also runs the Haunted Faire, giving her the moniker “the Ringleader.”
As previously mentioned, eidolons aren’t that scary. In fact, they’re quite cute!
They may be a little off-putting or awkward around Lythians, but most chalk it up to cultural differences. Overall, eidolons are just curious creatures who want to know about what’s out there! In an attempt to be welcoming to outsiders, they’ve set up a large fairground that spans across most of the realm. It’s filled with fun activities like a mirror maze, apple bobbing, face painting, and more!
The ghosts manage everything and make sure everything is in tiptop shape for the visitors. The only payment they ask for in return is that the faire-goers share their stories! Because they’re unable to teleport, they’re curious about what’s out there, therefore, will quickly crowd around any Lythian who stops to share a tale with them. Eidolons are also especially delighted when their visitors dress up, because they love to see the various fashions from across the realms. In fact, they request it so much — often pestering those who’re not in costume to teleport back and change — that it’s become customary for everyone coming to the Lost Realm to pick an outfit beforehand!
The Haunted Faire is home to a number of activities, which can all be found here at any time! Be sure to visit the Lost Realm and take part in this year’s Costume Contest, daily Apple Bobbing, and other daily prompts available in Ink’s Tent!
You can increase your familiarity with the Lost Realm itself by taking part in its Realm Familiarity quests. Everyone may claim one free key via the current giveaway, which will grant your account access to the realm. Be sure to use it on the Lythian you would like to use for the realm prompts! You can potentially get more keys by having your other Lythians participate with the key-owning Lythian in General Realm quests for the Lost Realm (basically submit a work with both of them involved). However, Familiarity Quests must still be undertaken alone unless collaborating with someone else.
Don’t forget to spend your earned Faire Tickets from the event’s activities over in the Ringleader’s faire stall for event-only rewards, and look for crafting recipes using Haunted Faire ingredients.
As its own realm, The Lost Realm contains both General Realm Prompts and Realm Familiarity Prompts, which can be found on the realm’s page (key required on at least on Lythian to view).
You can turn in as many prompts as you would like to earn Faire Tickets!
Submit them via the ARPG submit form under "Event Prompt" and request Faire Tickets as your currency instead of Loonoles — tickets are earned at a 1:1 ratio to Loonoles.
They must be turned in by October 31st, 2020 @ 23:59:59 EST to be eligible for rewards!
Completing at least one Realm Quest (Familiarity or General) gives you “The Haunted Faire” achievement!
Instead of Loonoles, you will earn Faire Tickets to be spent in the special event shop, based on the piece(s) you submit.
Remember to claim the bonus + 5 (Event Quest) Faire Tickets for Realm Quests! (These are not applied to the simpler Drawtober prompts, however)

Lythian Origin Story Quests are now available for all playable species! You can view their quest and tale via their species information page. The following information, as well as quick links to species quests, is also always available by viewing the Origin Story Quests page!
Everyone starts somewhere, even Lythians! Origin Stories are prompts that allow you to show us a snapshot from your character’s past that defines who they are now. Each species has their own unique quest and Origin Tale for you to explore!
✦ General Requirements
must earn at least 30 Loonoles per submission
should be turned in as one submission
Loonoles based on Free Play guidelines
ability to update your baby-stage character to their adult design
badge to go on character’s profile
Growth Stories can be completed once per character.
They are mainly used to grow up baby characters — allowing you to design full-grown forms for them — but can also be retroactively done for already-grown individuals! These are only available for official, already-existing Lythians that you own. They are not “MYO Quests” that award you with a new character when you are done.
Note: Some species' Origin Tales are slated to be expanded on in the future, but the information available now is accurate regardless.
In addition to the above, we have recently released the following new feature:
Username Changes: username changes are now available for all users! The first username change is free and can be initiated at any time, however username changes beyond the first will cost 5 gems.
And last, but certainly not least, the Staff Opportunities page has been updated with currently-available roles!
The first three realms have been released for unlock! The following information is also always available by viewing the World Map page!
There are many realms out there, which you can access via teleportation, but you must have their Realm Key to open a door there! To obtain said key, you must take your chances with Truffle’s Mysterious Realm Key or realm hop (by completing a General Realm Quest) with someone who already has access in an attempt to get your own.
Each individual Lythian may choose one starter Realm by going to their profile page.
Realm Keys are displayed on the Lythian’s profile, to show off which realms they have access to. Various keys may unlock access to other features just by obtaining them (eg, visiting certain shops) or once you’ve increased your Key Mastery (eg, setting up a guild).
Note: Some of these features are currently openly available (such as guilds), but will be moved behind realm requirements in the future. A warning will be posted prior to this change, to give time to unlock said realms.
At the moment, the 3 realms released are the 3 starter realms, but more are waiting in the wings to be discovered soon!
Each Realm has a series of quests in two categories, which tell a story about the location, or are simply related prompts. Please enjoy exploring the realms!
Regarding upcoming planned compensation for relevant system changes:
Compensation will be dispersed for previously-earned passports (and said passports will be removed from profiles at the same time). The intended compensation is: 1 Mysterious Realm Key item per passport owned by an individual's currently-owned characters.
Compensation will be dispersed for adaptation tickets (ticket items will be removed from inventories at the same time). The intended compensation is: Loonoles equal to the previous shop prices of the items (200/500/1000 Loonoles for rarity 1/2/3 selection tickets, respectively; and 100/250/500 Loonoles for rarity 1/2/3 random tickets, respectively).
The intended timeline is for the compensation to be dispersed and completed by Monday or Tuesday of this coming week (August 31st/September 1st). Thank you for your patience!
