Zoot

singular — plural — collective

Summary

Zoots are root-like creatures that have been reanimated from death. They sleep in the ground during the day, but when night falls, the dew from surrounding surface plants over-saturates them, and they pop right out of the ground where they waddle around, trying to get back into the dirt. At night, their will-o-wisp flame can be seen above their crown of leaves. Zoots are extremely skittish and will run away from just about anything on the surface. To capture one, one would need a lure of some sort.
